These need-based grants require NYCSD Booster club leaders, administrators, principals, teachers and/or staff, or NYCSD-based Scout Leaders to apply on behalf of the student. If you are a parent/guardian/friend/religious leader, etc., of the student, please contact the student’s principal to discuss submitting the student’s name.

The PBF’s Brady Minich Fund honors the life and legacy of 1999 NHS graduate, Brady Minich, who died in a car accident at just 22 years old. This fund provides need-based grants to K-12th grade Northern students to remove financial barriers to participate, engage, belong, and achieve!

The Brady Minich Fund is used for yearbooks, tutoring, Scouts, band instruments, test fees, and more!

Some examples include:

  • Cleats to uniforms to band equipment rental costs
  • Sports/band/academic camp fees
  • Sports/band/academic competition fees
  • Tutors
  • Driver’s education costs
  • Yearbooks for seniors
  • Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts
  • Testing fees/SAT fees
  • Fees for certifications for Vo-Tech students
  • Anything that helps a student belong, grow, and achieve.

Each school year will have a spending cap of $5,000.00.
