MISSION STATEMENT

The Polar Bear Foundation is dedicated to building a stronger Northern community by encouraging broad-based support for the investment in creative, innovative, and exceptional opportunities for the Northern York County School District.

A Polar Bear Foundation Board member is enthusiastic about our mission; represents the finest ideals of the Foundation; and, is dedicated to building a stronger Northern community by supporting and encouraging investment in creative, innovative, and exceptional opportunities for the Northern York County School District.

There are four primary responsibilities for every board member:

  1. Ensure Adequate Resources for the Polar Bear Foundation
  2. Enhance the Public Image of the Polar Bear Foundation
  3. Proper Governance & Reasonable Operational Oversight
  4. Participate in Effective Organizational Planning

POLAR BEAR FOUNDATION COMMITTEE STRUCTURE

The Board is divided into eight committees: Budget, Communications, Events, Fundraising, Grants, Personnel and Governance, Strategic Planning, and Vision.
